A color blind test is a device your eye doctor uses to determine if you have a color vision deficiency, commonly known as color blindness.
If you think you might be color blind, find an eye doctor near you and get an eye exam. consult an eye doctor.
There are two types of color blind tests:
- Brief screening tests that can detect the presence of a color vision deficiency
- More detailed tests that can detect and determine the type and severity of color blindness.
Some instructions for the test:
1. Place yourself 40 centimeters from the screen.
2. 2. If you have glasses for near vision or glasses with progressive lenses, keep them on. If you wear progressive lenses, lift your head in order to look through the lower part of your lenses.
These tests have no diagnostic value. In case of difficulties, only an eye care professional can carry out a complete eye examination to detect any eventual visual problems. No personal health information is collected or retained as the result of taking these tests.
